Checking in
Oct 13th, 2007 by Andrew
Just a quick note coming to you from Hiroshima. Our journey is nearly at an end and we`ll be sad to leave. We`ve been using the Japanese Shinkansen trains to get from place to place and they are positively awesome pieces of kit. Whipping along at up to 300kph they give a similar sensation to flying, with the almost constant slight but perceptible jostling in the seat. Having said that, they are very, very quiet and smooth. Unlike a plane however you get to look at the scenery, even if it`s a bit like "Look at that!" "What?" "Back there!"

on 19 Dec 2007 at 10:51 pm6The NewmansMunchies, Museums & Manga… We woke bright and early on Thursday morning, full of beans (figuratively speaking) and ready for our trip down to Hiroshima. The travelling time on the Shinkansen from Kyoto to Osaka was only 15 minutes. We then changed trains for the 1 1/2 hour Shink…
